Cape Cod has one of the highest rates of domestic violence in Massachusetts. Someone you have met - at work, in your neighborhood, through your children's schools or your church - someone you have met has needed the help Independence House provides. And when these people escape a life threatening situation with their children and the clothes on their back, Independence House is there - arranging for safety, shelter, and a new life - not to mention incidentals like toothbrushes and a change of clothes.
